Video Transcript
Hi guys, welcome to another episode of “How to Tutorials”. I’m Supasam and in this video I’m gonna show you “How to mirror a pose in blender”, probably from right to left or left to right depending on what your situation is. So let’s get to it.
This is a character in blender and to demonstrate how to mirror the pose, I would like my character to be in the “T” pose, okay. So in order to do that I will punch on the “A” key on my keyboard to select all the controls and then use the short command “alt G” to reset the location and “alt R” to reset the rotation and “alt S” to reset the scale.
So now I’m gonna move the right hand up. Somewhere like this okay. And I want the… sorry. I want his right hand to be in the same position as his left hand. So to do this, I’m gonna select on the particular control that I want to copy the pose from which is his left hand in this case. By using the short command “ctrl C”, I can copy the pose and “ctrl shift V” to mirror the pose to the other side.
So I would try this once more with the feet just for you to see. And “G” to translate the feet up and rotate so you can see what we are doing here and probably with it it’s this way too, okay. Then the short command “ctrl C” again to copy, “ctrl shift V” to paste. And you can see both legs have the same shape from the side view.
So this is how you mirror your pose from one side of your character to the other side in blender. And that brings us to the end of this episode. Don’t forget to like the video share it and subscribe to our channel if you haven’t done so. See you in the next episode bye.
